Summary

Pentosan polysulfate is a sulfated oligosaccharide, not a peptide. · pmid:2465736

History

In a 1990 double-blind multicentre trial in interstitial cystitis, overall improvement above 25% was reported by 28% of 110 patients on pentosan polysulfate sodium against 13% on placebo. · pmid:1693797

Chronic exposure has been associated with a distinctive pigmentary maculopathy; the first case series described six patients with a median exposure of 186 months. · pmid:29801663

Identity

No public registry record is shown for this page: PubChem gave no record that proves it is this substance.

Structure

No structure representation on record. PepJunkie draws only what an authoritative record supplies; for a peptide that is the residue sequence, and none has been curated for Pentosan Polysulfate Sodium yet.

Dose evidence, rung by rung

A studied human dose exists on file. Open the rung: the dose is the paper's, in its context, never PepJunkie's.
