Buserelin — living evidence map
The Atlas page holds the claims; this is how its evidence evolved.
Summary
Buserelin is a luteinising-hormone-releasing-hormone (GnRH) agonist; in nine men with advanced prostate cancer, LH first rose and then fell, and testosterone dropped to castrate levels within three weeks and stayed there for 24 weeks. · pmid:6122893
In a Japanese phase III trial in 271 women with endometriosis, oral dienogest relieved pain as well as intranasal buserelin acetate over 24 weeks, with less loss of bone mineral density. · pmid:18653184
Identity
PubChem CID 50225: Buserelin, C60H86N16O13, 1239.4 g/mol. · pubchem:50225
CAS registry number 57982-77-1. · pubchem:50225
Where the evidence actually sits
Proportion of the 2 claims about Buserelin standing at each tier. Community volume is shown on the Consensus tab beside this and is never averaged into it.
Living evidence history
2 resolved citations, oldest to newest, coloured by tier. Retractions and contradictions land here as they are recorded.
Structure
No structure representation on record. PepJunkie draws only what an authoritative record supplies; for a peptide that is the residue sequence, and none has been curated for Buserelin yet.
Dose evidence, rung by rung
A studied human dose exists on file. Open the rung: the dose is the paper's, in its context, never PepJunkie's.
- Approved-label dose · a resolved regulatory document names a labelled dose
nothing resolved on this rung
- Studied human doses · resolved human studies at the established tier
- Dienogest is as effective as intranasal buserelin acetate for the relief of pain symptoms associated with endometriosis--a randomized, double-blind, multicenter, controlled trial. · pmid 18653184 · 2009
- Observational evidence · resolved human data at the emerging tier: thin, or contested
- Sustained suppression of testosterone production by the luteinising-hormone releasing-hormone agonist buserelin in patients with advanced prostate carcinoma. A new therapeutic approach? · pmid 6122893 · 1982
- Community-reported protocols · protocol propositions from distinct members, counted once per human
nothing resolved on this rung
- Preclinical evidence · resolved animal, cell or mechanistic work
nothing resolved on this rung
2 resolved citations, 0 unresolved (an unresolved citation lends nothing). Community volume is its own rung and is never averaged into the evidence rungs.
