History

In a pilot phase I study in three men it increased skin pigmentation, and spontaneous erections and a stretching and yawning complex followed doses; mild nausea was common. · pmid:8637402

In a double-blind crossover study of 20 men with erectile dysfunction, Melanotan II, a non-selective melanocortin receptor agonist, led to erections in 17 without sexual stimulation; nausea and yawning were frequent side effects. · pmid:11035391
