5-Amino-1MQ — living evidence map
The Atlas page holds the claims; this is how its evidence evolved.
Summary
5-Amino-1MQ belongs to a series of methylquinolinium small-molecule inhibitors of nicotinamide N-methyltransferase (NNMT), reported to be membrane-permeable and selective against related methyltransferases; it is a small molecule, not a peptide. · pmid:29155147
Mechanism
In cultured adipocytes these inhibitors lowered the NNMT product 1-methylnicotinamide, raised intracellular NAD+ and suppressed lipogenesis; in diet-induced obese mice a potent member of the series reduced body weight and white adipose mass. · pmid:29155147
In 24-month-old mice after an acute muscle injury, an NNMT inhibitor increased muscle stem cell proliferation and fusion. · pmid:30753815
Identity
No public registry record is shown for this page: PubChem gave no record that proves it is this substance.
Where the evidence actually sits
Proportion of the 2 claims about 5-Amino-1MQ standing at each tier. Community volume is shown on the Consensus tab beside this and is never averaged into it.
Living evidence history
2 resolved citations, oldest to newest, coloured by tier. Retractions and contradictions land here as they are recorded.
Structure
No structure representation on record. PepJunkie draws only what an authoritative record supplies; for a peptide that is the residue sequence, and none has been curated for 5-Amino-1MQ yet.
Dose evidence, rung by rung
No established safe human dose. Nothing on file establishes one. That is a statement about the evidence PepJunkie holds, not a promise about the molecule.
