L-Methylfolate (5-MTHF, active folate)

5-methyltetrahydrofolate (5-MTHF) is the main naturally circulating folate; unlike synthetic folic acid, it is well absorbed when stomach pH is altered and does not depend on the MTHFR enzyme, so it bypasses that genetic defect.
