Leuprolide (Leuprorelin)

Leuprorelin (leuprolide acetate) is a GnRH analogue that causes a brief initial rise in gonadotrophins and then, with continued use, pituitary desensitisation and suppressed sex hormones; it is used in advanced prostate cancer, endometriosis and central precocious puberty.
