N-Acetylcysteine (NAC)

N-acetylcysteine is the antidote for acetaminophen (paracetamol) overdose: in a multicenter study of 2,540 patients treated orally, liver injury was least when treatment began within 8 to 10 hours of ingestion, and efficacy fell with further delay.

Evidence, kept apart

The Atlas never mixes evidence types into one blob. Each claim below carries the tier it actually sits in; an unresolved citation is shown and does not move the page.
